In western countries we are probably too used to freedom to value it enough, but is a great gift and something we shall fight to keep and to give to our sons. I'm not just talking of living in a free country, but also of having the freedom to do your own choise, your own mistakes, to follow whatever path you want.
Seagulls have always been my favourite metaphor for freedom. May be a little lame but there are few other living things that makes a better image of freedom.
This seagull, for instance, was flight along the way of a ferry boat enjoying the strong wind and playing with it. He liked to stay stady for a while and look at the crowd that was staring at him on the deck and than dive to the water below to make a round trip around the hull and get back over our heads. Was really amazing!!!
I'll close this post with a quote from Johnatan Livingston Seagull: "You have the freedom to be yourself, your true self, here and now - and nothing can stand in your way! "
Freedom is something worth living for... and may be even worth dying for.

Sunset
Here is another thing that can make life happier; a nice sunset!
I love shooting sunsets and I love to watch them over and over, but more than anything I like to sit somewhere watching the sun going down and spreading a mystical light all over the sea (I prefer sunset over the sea as you can infer from my pics). The range of colors can be amazing, going from deep reds to purple, blue, orange and yellow.
I stated shooting sunset when I was on my honeymoon in Egypt in 1999 and never stopped since. In the above slideshow there are pics form Egypt, Italy, Turkey and Ireland. I hope you'll enjoying watching them and they'll make you feel a little better after a long working day :-).

Family
No matter how bad things get or how crazy life becomes, your family is always there for you. Your parents have no choice of who you are although they help to shape what you become. Your children have no choice who their parents are. The only person who has a choice to care for you or not is your spouse who was stupid enough to marry you :) Be grateful.

Love
Of Course!!!! What is more "worth living for" than love??? I mean everykind of love: from young love, making love, the thrill of the first meetings or long lasting romances.
Mostly everything in our lives is driven by love or affection: love for the partner, love for your kids, love for your family, love for your friends and so on.
I was waiting for one of the ladies to post such an item, but since none of them is still posting.... I thought I'll do it myself :-).

Friends
Not the TV Show!!!! The "real" friends. The one that help you in life when you're feeling down and even if they don't live close you can always count on.
I found out that a good friend can also be someone you have never met in real life and still she/he can be a better friend than many people that are close to you but don't even care of listening to what you have to say. Friends, the TV show, actually was a way that made me meet nabiki, that is now one of my closest friends even if she lives some 500km away.
I've invited most of my friends to join this blog and I hope you'll help me fill it with contents :-).
I don't know what you'll think of this idea that I had but I hope you'll like it.
OT, I know what you're thinking...."This is the gayest thing I've ever seen!!!" :-). I can't wait to read your witty comments and posts :-).

Bunnies
This beautiful fluffy thing is Tippete (Thumper in english).
He is with us since fall 2000.
I grew up with always some pets around: dogs, cats, even chikens at my grandma's home, but I've never had a bunny before him.
It was my wife's idea to take one and I've got to say they are really cute, loving and funny creatures :-).
My son loves to play with him and you should see how funny they are when they're both on our bed on sunday morning playing and cuddling each other :-).
For a better life I suggest that we have a law that everyone shall have a bunny in his house! This way I'm pretty sure there will not be any war in the world but peace for all.
As a bunnies' saying goes: "Make love.... a LOT of love... not war!!!".
P.S. I just found out this video on you tube. You've got to see it!

Kids
Of course the first thing that crosses my mind thinking at things "worth living for" is my son Raffaele.
Really few things in my live can compare with him.
For many years, even after I got married, I didn't thought of having any kid at all... I simple wasn't interested in having to take care of one of this little "things" :-). So lame!
Than, one day I woke up thinking that... may be.... it wasn't such a bad idea to grow up a family and we have been blessed with the most beautiful gift of all: Raffaele.
He is always happy and he changed the life in our home completely. Now everything revolves around him and our lives are full of joy, laughters, and of course... poop :-).

Welcome
Hi all.
I've started this blog on fall evening when I felt very happy for no apparent reasons other than probably been sad and hungry for the previous couple of months!
All the sudden I felt happy and I started wandering what is that makes my and other people life "worth living for".
Hope you'll enjoy my "travel" in the search for all the beautiful things that makes us happy and makes life worth living.
P.S. any comment/suggestion/critic on how to improve this blog is more than welcome.
